The Ford Probe

The Ford Probe The Ford Probe inspires passion in people, so if you are a passionate person this could well be the cheap used car for you. With it's long front cone and sexy curves, when you open her up you can imagine a mat of thick black hair sprouting on the bonnet. This is a car for people who love cars. Real cars, cars the way they used to be.

Redolent of top trump classics of the 70s (Dodges and Pontiacs spring to mind), midland car supermarket offers the Probe, the illegitimate child of the Capri and the Mazda MX-6, conceived in the heat of the moment. Heads will turn; your chest will bulge, sexy passengers may be drawn in. She purrs, she growls, she pushes you into the back of your seat. and she goes.

The Ford Probe The Ford Probe is a temperamental beauty, make no mistake, but then you will want to dote on her, to coddle and spoil her, and she will repay you well. The drive is fast and smooth, the handling good. Furry dice and leopard skin nylon seat covers may add arrogant retro chic, and why not? A good stereo and alloy wheels give some final brushstrokes to an x-rated picture. Brash, sassy, competitive, the Probe may just be the car to sweep away any doubt in the heart of those sexy sirens who have been calling you for so long.

As a cheap used car she is second to none, if speed and power are what are important to you. Available often at the used car midland supermarket, you will find the Probe not only almost irresistibly sexy but also, should you wish to part with her (for say a Ferrari or Porsche), she will amaze you by actually paying you back well for all the attentions you lavished upon her.

For the Ford Probe's price holds up well because, as you know deep down inside, we are a nation of romantics and hedonists who cannot resist a used car (available at used car midland supermarket) which promises, and can deliver, the American glamour and brash sex appeal of many a more high end model.

The Ford Probe People have found fault with the Probe, but that is to misunderstand her true nature. If you are looking for a model you can get into, drive to work, take home, then forget about, this is not the one for you. You may, however just be a natural lover, for the Ford Probe is essentially a model of cheap used car for those beneath whose confident exterior is a being who dotes, cares for, inquires about and actually looks after their lovers, who may not all last so long but who know they have been loved.

So, when you're at your car midland supermarket settle back, drink in those front end curves once more with greedy eyes, take the wheel between your hands, slip out of neutral and commit to one of the rides of your life, gently, lovingly, with great control, easing that peddle to the carpet.

The Ford Probe was a car produced by Ford between 1989 and 1997, with a redesign in 1993. It was sold in both European and North American markets. A somewhat sporting coupe, the Probe was intended to fill the market niche formerly occupied by the Capri in Europe, and although it was intended as the replacement to the Ford EXP, it was also considered a possible replacement for the Ford Mustang in the North American market.

The Probe is nearly identical to the Mazda MX-6, and both cars share the Mazda GD platform (1988-1992) and GE platform (1993-1997). In North America, the Probe and MX-6 were both assembled together by the Ford/Mazda joint venture, Auto Alliance.

Sales were not up to Ford's expectations, and the car never did replace the Mustang in North America. In fact, Mustang fans objected to rumours that the Probe would be badged 'Mustang III' (a particularly odd scenario since, if it had gone ahead, it would have been the fourth-generation car). The Probe was not cheap, and for the money more prestigious marques of sports coupe were available. The styling was not universally liked. In the UK, the innuendo of the car's name did not endear itself to prospective buyers. Sales of the Probe in the UK finally collapsed when it was the car of choice for Steve Coogan's loathsome salesman character Gareth Cheeseman.

1994-registered Ford Probe in England

The Ford Probe was discontinued in 1997 in the North American market along with the Ford Aerostar and soon to be revived Ford Thunderbird due to slow sales.
