Lynn's Rant - Driving too close

Driving too closeRant: What makes me mad when driving is when you look in the rear view mirror and you can see the whites of the eyes of the guy (and it usually is a guy) behind.

What is it with these people?  Do they not understand braking distances, or are they just bullies who think that by coming up close you are somehow going to levitate the car and let them past ???

A favoured situation for these nutters in our area is going across a two lane road bridge with a 50 mile speed limit and some cameras at various points.

The bridge has lanes west and east.  During the rush hour both tend to be full with people travelling in the appropriate lane for their exit. St the end the traffic grinds to a halt and meanders through the city.

I tend to abide by the speed limit and travel along on the East bound lane at that speed.

So what happens ??? Johnny Nutter up my arse!!

Nowhere for him to go and just a slow grind off the bridge at the end.  Or deep joy,  should there be some space on the West bound lane he might, just might, nip into that and then haul is stupid ass out in front of me, causing me to lose my braking distance between me and the car in front and for him to invariably slam on the anchors?

And where does he end up ?  One car ahead in the same queue ultimately travelling at 2 miles hours into the city centre and all he has managed to achieve is to demonstrate the fact that he is an utter twat and a useless driver.
